MY STORY
Where do I begin? As I reflect on my many different roles in my life in chronological order, I am a daughter, a sister, a karaoke enthusiast, a scientist/researcher, an avid traveler, a food lover, an andrologist / embryologist, an IP specialist, a wife, a lifelong learning advocate, a lawyer, and a mom…

In my career journey, I definitely took a non-traditional and adventurous path and had worked in many different industries in various capacities. Throughout my career changes and decisions, the primary driving force has always been “finding purpose”. We spent a lot of our waking hours at work and I want to make sure my time and effort count. To me, work is more than just a pay cheque and I hope what I do at work is meaningful and is making a difference somewhere to someone in big or small ways.

Some might say “life is too short” is a cliché. However, when life and death events happening around you it may change your perspectives and priorities in life. Out of the blue and without warning, my friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer. During one of my visits at the hospital, he told me in a revelatory yet helpless way that he wished if only he had a bit more time, he would reprioritize and do things differently. He would focus on things that he loved/enjoyed. Unbeknownst to me, that was my last time seeing him. But his heartfelt and inspiring words will stay with me forever...

Fast forward a decade to now, I am deeply grateful to have two amazing kids and have found a profession that I truly love. Although I am still relatively early in my legal career and there is always room for improvements, I will persist and strive to achieve my goals and dreams. In the meantime, I hope I will continue to learn and grow to be a better person, a better lawyer, and a better mom; and will meet some wonderful like-minded individuals along the journey and leave my footprints in a meaningful and fulfilling way!

Lovely to meet you here and what's your story?
